Gov’t TV wakes up from morning stupor

TIRED of its individual doormat ratings, the government’s TV and radio stations are combining their nationwide reach to launch a unified morning program starting Easter Monday.

Called “One Morning Show,” the 6-am-to-8-am news-oriented variety show is channels 4, 9, and 13’s first serious challenge to the market duopoly of ABS-CBN and GMA 7 in the early morning Monday-to-Friday timeslot.

And, as an added broadcast muscle, the nationwide network of the government radio network, Radio ng Bayan, will also simultaneously air One Morning Show. Read the rest of this entry »
